Children will listen to The Very Hungry Caterpillar, then use construction paper and scissors (I will review how to hold scissors correctly and scissor safety prior to using) to cut out circles and make their own caterpillar using glue.
Class Experience
During this class your child will listen to and discuss the story: The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle. After reading the book and identifying different colors and foods, each child will get the chance to tell the other's what their favorite part of the story was, what their favorite food is and why. The first part of this class helps children with listening skills, listening comprehension and the ability to pull information from a story and relate it to foods they like. Before starting...
