In this one time class we will explore the life cycle of a butterfly! We will read "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and use play dough to mold the different stages of a butterflies life!

During this playdate, we will start by reading "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" by Eric Carle. We will then talk about the life cycle of a butterfly and learn a song that teaches the stages of a butterflies life cycle. We will then enjoy some play time using play dough to mold the different stages of a butterfly's life cycle. Play dough mats are provided for printing before class, but are optional. The class structure will be as follows: Hello song Story Song Activity Goodbye song I encourage all children to participate and engage during our class, to laugh, sing and have fun! We will have a story time, singing time and activity time where they can all participate.
Learning Goals
Students will learn about the life cycle of a butterfly, reading comprehension from our story time and social skills while we do our play dough activity.

Parental Guidance
Play dough may contain wheat, which could cause and allergic reaction if ingested in those sensitive to wheat gluten or with Celiac disease.
