Description
Class Experience
During this ongoing meeting students will have the opportunity to have fun and interact with each other by playing the “would you rather” game where they will share opinions, thoughts, and ideas on the topic. This is a conversational class where students can practice their social skills, meet other students, and work on public speaking skills as they’ll have to explain their reasoning and they may have different opinions than other classmates. Students will learn how to ask and answer thought-provoking questions as well as build friendships. The goal throughout this class is for the kids to build relationships, gain new friends, build self-confidence, and feel free to be themselves in a safe welcoming, and positive environment.
I am a very social person and have been referred to by many as being a social butterfly. I was not always this way but have learned and grown through the years how to better my social skills, as well as the importance as to why socializing and building relationships, is important for us no matter what our age is. We can use these positive social skills throughout the many faces in our life.
As an optional homework students can make a list of some Would You Rather questions they would like to ask their friends in the class.
