Do your kids demand to pick their outfit for the day? Are your students fashion crazy and obsessed with talking about their new favorite accessory? Is your niece or nephew quick to give you fashion advice? Taught by a fashion styling veteran, this course will be fun and informative to push their curiosities to the max! This 1-week, 3 class course, is an amazing program for boys and girls who love fashion and who want to explore the ideologies of fashion trends and how to wear them! CLASS 1: After a short introduction, students will learn a brief history of fashion, as well as the theory of trends; how they are created and how they can be spotted. After reviewing practical examples, students will have their first real taste of the industry as well as a fashion runway show! CLASS 2: We'll have a short review of how trends evolve in Class 2. Students will then learn the process of creating their own fashion mood boards! Using digital resources such as Pinterest and print resources such as magazines and fashion print outs; students will learn how to express their style identities through collaging. At the end of class, students will be set the "Ultimate Fashion Styling Challenge" with instructions on how to execute their mission! * I'll provide further homework instructions with helpful and handy hints, tips and fashion design templates. CLASS 3: We'll discuss the challenge and follow up with the ultimate result; 'Show and Tell'! Students will arrive in class dressed to impress; representing the mood board they have created. Each student will present their mood board and their style, explaining why they choose their outfit and how they put their masterpiece together. * Each student who completes the challenge will receive a personalized Ultimate Fashion Styling Certificate.
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of fashion, trends and style history. While they learn how to concisely present their ideas in a visual, physical and interactive format.

Parental Guidance
Students will need to have access to tools such as Pinterest to find visuals online to use for their assignment. Students will also have the option to cut out images from magazines and draw, color and accessorize on fashion figures (print outs will be provided). Thus parental guidance will be needed for younger students to access these resources and to use scissors safely.
