This 4-week multi-day class will teach you leadership and safety skills to confidently care for babies to school-aged children in a positive environment. If you are interested in learning the skills to babysit, care for younger siblings or stay home alone, but are not sure what to expect, then this 4-week multi-day class will teach...
-Students will learn the qualities of an excellent babysitter, how to be organized, efficient, and the importance of following the parent's routine, and how and why itâs important to have up-to-date emergency contact information. -The students will also learn age-appropriate games and activities, and how to create a babysitter kit. -Students will learn the developmental differences between babies, toddlers, preschoolers and school-aged children allowing them to feel comfortable accepting babysitting jobs with the appropriate age group. -Students will learn the importance of preparing ahead of time for a babysitting job, plus questions to ask parents. -The students will also be introduced to new terms and learn new vocabulary and definitions related to babysitting.
I am an Early Childhood Educator, Babysitting Instructor and author of The Ultimate Babysitting Course Manual and Journal.
There will be 3 handouts each week. One will be related to the course content, and the other two will be activities to reinforce the vocabulary learned that week. This material is optional for the learner to complete.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
