Class Experience
Students will be able to analyze and identify the various myths, philosophies, and Samurai warrior culture that influenced George Lucas when he created the Star Wars universe.
I have been a Star Wars fan for decades, and have read numerous books, and watched many documentaries about the various influences George Lucas called upon. I am a certified, veteran Language Arts teacher who has taught mythology lessons and workshops for many years. Lastly, I am a lifelong martial artist who is very interested in and well researched when it comes to the world of Samurais.
There is no formal HW. However, it would be beneficial and fun to rewatch certain Star Wars movies/scenes, so students can identify the themes and myths discussed in class.
A pencil, or pen, and paper are needed.
There are no formal assessments.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
