Description
Class Experience
The student will be able to define and explain the La Brea Tar Pits. The student will be able to discuss different animals found in the tar pits and why they are there.
I am a k-8 certified teacher with an endorsement in science. The La Brea Tar Pits were a place I wanted to visit when I was a wannabe paleontologist at the ripe old age of 10 years. I did visit them about 15 years later and was surprised at what I saw. Expecting a barren lceage-like landscape, I was quite taken aback at the urban setting in which they now exist.
