Class Experience
In this 30 minute, fun-filled American Sign Language class students will enjoy learning a “Hello” and “Goodbye” song in ASL, meet some adorable puppet friends and follow them as they race to the finish line! We will introduce Opposite signs as we cheer on the Tortoise and the Hare during their race. Students will sign along to music, incorporate movement, ASL vocabulary work, play a simple interactive group game and enjoy story time at the end to tie it all together! A great beginner class...
Students will build a foundational American Sign Language vocabulary and have fun learning new songs and opposite signs!
Miss Dena has been teaching American Sign Language in the classroom for over 8 years, this classic story has become a time-honored favorite enjoyed by all who have participated. Miss Dena’s animated personality and high-spirits draw children into a wonderful story woven together with ASL, music and puppetry. Her relaxed style allows children to participate at their own pace and ability, ensuring their love of learning will continue to shine!
Students should enjoy showing friends and family the new signs they learned in class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
