Description

Class Experience

The Theater Club Presents Tonight's Show" is an opportunity for learners to go through the entire process of staging a play for a live audience. 

Class 1: Scripts! Actors will be presented with several scripts from which they will choose the play they want to produce. 

Class 2: Casting! Actors will choose the roles they want to play in the production. 

Class 3: Costuming and Rehearsal! The first 15 minutes will be spent on costumes. We will talk about how each actor might put together a...

Students will learn about many different aspects of staging a play as well as practice creating costume and scenery, choosing props and learning a script. Being part of a performance also builds confidence and gives students the opportunity to practice working with others to achieve a goal.

Students will need to spend time outside of class creating their costumes, choosing props, learning their scripts, and creating a background.

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
