In this 6 week class students will learn to analyze "Tale of Tsar Saltan" in a fun and engaging way, through discussion and maps of the story. All the instruction is in Russian Language.

Class Experience
This is a 6 weeks course for the classical literature unit " The Tale of Tsar Saltan" by A.S. Pushkin. This class is for bilingual children who already can read and write (print or cursive) in Russian at the basic level or at a more advanced level. Students will need to be able to write a couple of words in Russian and be able to read a simple sentence. This course is highly adaptable, so each learner will read and write at their level. This class is taught in Russian.
Students will learn to understand Russian classical literature unit "The Tale of Tsar Saltan" improve their vocabulary, work on reading and writing and view the famous literature piece through artwork and music.
A hand out will be provided after each the class. The students will need help printing it (color recommended). Sometimes the elements of the story need to be cut and pasted on the map. Some reading and writing is necessary.
Students will need paper, scissors, glue, pencil and eraser. I will read the story to the children, but if you already have the book at home " The Tale of Tsar Saltan", it would be wonderful if the child has it available during and after the class. The students will need help printing it (color recommended). The elements of the story will be cut and pasted on the map. We will be using the interactive elements of Miro whiteboard during the class only.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
