Join us for a delightful journey into Beatrix Potter's timeless classic, "The Tale of Peter Rabbit." This 5-week class is designed for young learners to read aloud and explore the charming adventures of Peter Rabbit. Meeting once a week for 45 minutes, each session will include the learners reading the story aloud as well as engaging hands-on projects and fun activities that focus on improving comprehension, fluency, and decoding skills. Perfect for young readers, this class combines the joy of storytelling with educational enrichment, making reading an exciting and enjoyable experience.

Lesson 1:
Introduction and Characters
 Read aloud :the first part of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit"
Discuss main characters: Peter, Mr. McGregor, and Peter's family
Activity: Create character puppets or masks
Homework: Draw a scene from the story

Plot and Sequencing
 Read aloud: the next part of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit"
Discuss the plot and sequence of events
Activity: Create a story sequence chart
Homework: Write or draw the next event in the story

Setting and Visualization
 Read aloud: the next part of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit"
Discuss the setting and its importance
Activity: Create a diorama or detailed drawing of Mr. McGregor’s garden
Homework: Describe or draw your favorite setting in the story

Themes and Morals
 Read aloud: the next part of "The Tale of Peter Rabbit"
Discuss themes and morals of the story (e.g., obedience, consequences)
Activity: Create a poster illustrating the moral of the story

There is mention of the father rabbit being made into rabbit pie.
