This class is aimed at children aged 5-7 years with a little experience in Ballet. Learners are encouraged to wear fairy dresses/ballet outfits/tutu to the class but this is not a requirement. Please bring a wand(or something that can be used as a wand) to the class to use as a prop for the dance. Class Plan:- Short Introduction Easy Ballet Warm Up Learn the Ballet Dance Performance of Dance (Household members will be invited to watch their Learner perform from Off-Camera for the last 5 minutes of the class). Cool Down/Reverence Teaching Style:- I have a positive approach to teaching. I like to praise and encourage. When I'm speaking or have music playing I may keep the students muted so they are able to hear me/the music clearly but I will be interacting with the children throughout and checking on them for questions.

Students will learn a short Ballet Dance to 'The Sugar Plum Fairy' from 'The Nutcracker' to perform at the end of the class.

Parental Guidance
Parental Guidance:-
Please ensure children have enough space to move around and remove anything they may bump into or knock down (e.g. your expensive vase!).
Class Attire:- Children are encouraged to dress as a Fairy/Ballerina/Ballet Dancer. Alternately, please wear appropriate free-moving clothes e.g. tee-shirt with leggings, leotard and wear either ballet shoes or bare-feet (not socks) so they do not slip during the class.
Prop: A Fairy Wand or something that can be used as a wand.
Fitness:- Your child should be in a fit and healthy state. Please check with your doctor if you have any concerns.

Supply List
Learners are encouraged to wear a Fairy Dress/Ballet Dancer Outfit/Leotard to the class for their Solo Recital Performance of 'The Sugar Plum Fairy'. Please also bring a Fairy Wand or something that can be used as a Wand. (E.g. Stick/Ruler/Pencil)

I am a qualified professional dance teacher holding my Ballet Teaching certificate with the NCDTA (Northern Counties Dance Teachers Association in the UK). I have taught all ages of ballet from young to adult; also training other teachers. I am currently the Children's Program Director of a Dance Studio in the USA.
