Come join the Strong Writers Club! Learners will learn a variety of writing strategies, tips and techniques to transform their basic writing into strong pieces that they will be eager to share. We will learn about Organization, Word Choice, Descriptive Writing, Ideas, Story Elements and more. I will follow an I DO-WE DO-YOU DO approach. Learners will be actively engaged in brainstorming, shared writing, independent writing and receiving and giving feedback. Each of the classes is a stand-alone lesson, but learners are encouraged to take all classes. Learners will interact via modelling, slides, discussion, handouts, etc. Topics will include: Week 1-June 7th, 2021 Picking a Topic Week 1-June 8th, 2021 Word Choice Week 2-June 14th, 2021 Descriptive Writing Week 2-June 15th, 2021 Great Beginnings and Endings Week 3-June 21st, 2021 Dialogue and Onomatopoeia Week 3-June 22nd, 2021 Voice Week 4-June 28th, 2021 Elements of a Story Week 4-June 29th 2021 Presentation and Publication

Supply List
Learners will be provided with handouts that will need to be printed before class. Learners will also need a pencil and highlighters(crayons, pencil crayons, etc. are fine).
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I have a strong foundation in Art Education and love to teach lessons that mesh the Fundamentals of Art with the pure joy of creating something.
