Travel back in time to the early to mid 1800s, when enslaved African American men and women travelled through a network of secret routes and safe houses to make their way to freedom in Northern, free states and to Canada. Using interactive slides, discussions, group activities, and storytelling, you will learn about bounty hunters, the struggle during the trek to freedom, and what these men and women had to leave behind to find freedom. You will also hear stories of the Underground Railroad workers that helped these people make their way North.
