In this one-time class students will learn about the the trouble brewing in Salem, Massachusetts in 1692-1693. We will learn why the people of this town feared witches, who the people were they accused, and what happened during the trials. We will explore the truth behind this time that was marked with hysteria. Learners will discuss what scientific explanations can be applied to the strange happenings around Salem. Students will have a chance to discuss how the Salem Witch Trials are still part of America's pop culture today.

Parental Guidance
Subjects such as the Puritan's religious beliefs, witchcraft, and executions will be touched upon in this class. All discussions will be kept at an age appropriate level.
