Join this class, as learners jump back in time to 1929-1939 during the worst economic downturn in the industrialized world. Using interactive slides, group activities, discussion, and storytelling, students will learn about this era in history. Topics will include: causes of the Great Depression, Black Thursday, bank runs, presidential leadership, the New Deal, and the end of the Great Depression. No prior knowledge is needed.
I have over twenty years experience working with and teaching students. I have a bachelor's degree in both History and Economics. My master's degree is in Higher Education. I also have a juris doctorate degree in Law. Most importantly, I have a passion for teaching, history in particular!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
