Travel back in time to our country's beginnings in the year 1776. The colonists were angry and wanted independence from England. We will explore the events that led up to the Declaration, the document itself, and what signing this Declaration meant for the colonists. This class will use interactive slides, storytelling, and group discussions to tell the story of the Declaration of Independence.

Students will be able to describe the historical significance of the Declaration of Independence.
