In this 2 week online course, the student will learn about Stocks, Bonds, Money, and Mutual Funds. We will review a virtual investment portfolio, discuss ticker symbols, indexes, and more.
Class experience
The students will track two stocks selected by reviewing current events and trends. This class is interactive and we will learn about ticker symbols and review charts. We will use these investment examples to learn about key concepts: -What is the Dow Jones and S&P 500? -Where do I go to buy a stock? -How much do I need to start? -Building Wealth with Stocks and Understanding Compound Interest -Fractional Share and Dollar Cost Averaging -What are the different Stock Exchanges? -Dividends...
Students will improve their understanding about investing.
I have taught financial literacy including economics, real estate, and investing in securities for over 10 years.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
