This is an ongoing songwriting club where students will meet weekly to write, share, and receive feedback about songs. All levels and songwriting genres are welcome!

This Songwriting Hangout is for students who want to practice their songwriting skills along with a supportive group of friends. This is a positive space where students can learn and grow in their quest to become better songwriters. I will ensure that our environment remains a safe place for every young songwriter. * Students will understand the mechanics of song structure. * Students will learn how to write a verse, pre-chorus, chorus and bridge. * Students will understand the importance of a catchy chorus and hook. * Students will be able to identify their unique songwriting style and voice. * Students will understand the importance of prosody, rhyming and poetic devices in good songwriting. * Students will be able to make songwriting friends from all over the world
I have 10 years of teaching experience and have taught in traditional and private school settings, as well as 100% virtual school settings. My professional creative arts experience includes ghostwriting memoirs, performing in a pop/gospel group, writing songs for local music bands, music production and directing school plays.
