In this one-time class, students will learn amazing facts about snowy owls. They will also create a unique owl of their own. As a class, we will learn about the snowy owl's habitat, predators, prey, and so much more. We will take a look at the snowy owl's feathers and learn why it is called the silent hunter. Students will also observe an owl pellet dissection that will help them understand how an owl digest and expels its food. During class, students will view a slide presentation, short video clips, and play a review game. Throughout the lesson, students will take part in a laughter challenge as they hear different owl jokes. At the end of class, your child will have an owl masterpiece and will be able to tell others interesting facts they have learned about the snowy owl. I look forward to teaching, creating, and laughing with your child as they learn all about snowy owls.
