Class Experience

Welcome to the much anticipated collaborative creative writing event, The Sisterhood: Fiction Collaboration! Suggested by one of our weekly writers, get ready for a one-of-a-kind collaborative experience.

Any writer may join, but this group is recommended for girls.

MEMBERS WILL:
✔️ collaborate with another writer via Google docs to generate fun fiction responses to my collaborative prompts
✔️ think outside the box and "on the spot" with flexible thinking writing activities
✔️ build personal confidence
✔️ bond with others who also enjoy creating fictional stories
✔️ practice positive peer interaction

COLLABORATIVE GOOGLE DOC
I will have links to blank Google docs. Please make sure you are able to access and type into Google docs before enrolling. I will give each team their links through the chat box in Zoom. They will simply click into the docs and begin writing. No personal information such as emails are revealed ensuring continued privacy.

CLASS AGENDA
✔️ Our special event will open with individual responses to "5 Minute Fiction," a popular activity using three provided random statements. Learners are encouraged to allow their minds to create without judgment. The chat is open throughout class for interaction between authors as the storytelling and voluntary sharing unfolds.

✔️ We will follow up with our usual creative flexible thinking writing opportunities - this time in a collaborative team of two, and learners may voluntarily share their stories with the group.

CAMERAS ON FOR A SAFE SPACE
Black screens do not promote trust in a group. Because this is a social club and learners are vulnerably sharing their talents, learners are required to have working cameras in the “on” position for the duration of class.

APPROPRIATE SHARING
There are parameters for healthy sharing in a school environment. Outschool records our sessions and the chat. Cursing, sexual content, and/or bullying are not acceptable or tolerated within any genre.
