Class Experience

Students will take their comprehension skills to the next level. They will find challenge and guidance that aims to:

-Engender confidence and empowerment.

-Refine their intuition for what characters are doing with their speech.

-Sharpen their critical "listening" skills for understanding the nuance of language and rhetorical argument/debate.

-Expand their vocabulary as well as their grasp of larger than average thoughts.

Please be sure the learner has a Printed Out copy of the "SHAKESPEARIENCE 1.5 HANDOUT" (ATTACHED ON CLASSROOM PAGE), as well as a pencil as we will write on the handout and mark up the examples a good deal.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
1 hour per week in class, and no time outside of class.
Shakespeare can SOMETIMES contain adult themes and violent imagery (PG-13 level). All discretion will be applied should we encounter anything of the sort, though rest assured that all text used in class has been PRE-SCREENED to be age-appropriate.
