The class begins by looking at where bees live in nature and in "captivity" with bee keepers. After this, the children will meet "Harriet the Honey Bee" who will teach them the different parts of a bee and the differences between bumble...

My husband and I have been bee keepers for the past three years. We started with one hive but it has now grown to five. Every year we make candles from the wax and harvest surplus honey that we sell to our local community. We have learnt a great deal about bees behaviour and continue learn more and more about them every year.
