In this one-time class, students (ages 7-9) will learn the very strange and awesome ways different species of animals have adapted to sleep and the science behind them.

Follows Teacher-Created Curriculum
  • Defining why we all need sleep. Be able to express the different ways in which other animals obtain sleep.
I have been the Coordinator for a hospital-based sleep disorders lab for the last 14 years and am a Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. I have worked with thousands of patients over the years with sleep disorders. In fact, part of our testing to become sleep professionals included knowing about the sleep in other animals! Prior to that, I was a middle school science teacher for 10 years and currently homeschool my 15-year-old daughter. I have my Bachelors in Biology and my Masters in Healthcare Administration.
