**Note- If you do not see a section available and you would like to take the class, feel free to request a section and I will work to get one booked for you** Students will start the class off my learning about the science behind making ice cream through the use of direct instruction, a short video, and classroom discussion. Then the teacher will walk the students step by step through the process of making ice cream using only a few ingredients and some zip lock bags. Throughout the class the teacher will ask students questions to check for understanding and make sure they understand each step of the ice cream making process. Students will walk away from class with a sweet teat and some awesome science knowledge.

Parental Guidance
The bag of ice gets very cold. Students should have a towel or oven mitts handy to protect their hands. Younger students and students with disabilities might benefit from parental assistance during the experiment.
Supply List
whole milk sugar flavoring (vanilla extract, chocolate/strawberry syrup etc) 1 gallon size Zip-Lock baggie 1 quart size Zip-Lock baggie ice salt (rock salt is best but regular salt will work) Hand towel Toppings- like sprinkles (optional) A handout with the complete procedure will be sent out before class starts
