In this class students will discuss the different climate zones on east and which zones contain rain forests. We will discuss the water cycle and the role it plays in the ecosystem as well as the benefits of the rain forest. We will explore the layers of the rain forest as well as the activities and life inside those layers. We will examine some of the symbiotic relationships that develop in this ecosystem. When lesson is complete students should be able to discuss the different climate zones on earth and tell which ones contain rain forests. Student should also be able to discuss the water cycle and its role in the rain forest environment, as well as discussing the benefits of the rain forest. Student should also be able to state the layers of the rain forest.
I spent 6 months living in Brazil, South America and have experienced life in the rain forest.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
