The Role of Nutrition in Our Health will teach learners about hunger and appetite, digestion, macronutrients, micronutrients, and metabolism. This course is aimed to give students the tools necessary to make healthy choices that can positively affect their lives now and as they grow into self sustaining adults. Each lesson will include a slide presentation with guided notes along with an activity to reinforce information learned. Materials will be sent on Monday mornings each week. Week 1: Why Do We Want to Eat What We Want to Eat? What Happens to the Food We eat?
