This course is one of four that evaluates the rise and fall of the Roman Empire. Starting with the three stages of the Roman Empire (broken down by The Period of Kings, Republican Rome, and Imperial Rome), this series of classes will end with Roman Mythology. In this part of this series (The Period of Kings) will learn how Rome was created by King Aeneas who fled Troy following the Trojan War. Learning Objectives • This course aligns with the World History curriculum and SOL objectives • Students will learn about adversity in ancient civilizations and learn how those civilizations laid the foundation for modern society • Students will apply critical thinking skills through writing
Students will be required to spend between 1 to 3 hours a week for reading.
Students will be presented with all handouts required
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
