Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! My name is Chris Landi. I currently teach general music to students in preschool through 4th grade. I also have experience teaching instrumental music to students in 4th grade through 12th grade, particularly concert band, jazz band, and marching band. I currently teach private percussion and piano lessons. I love to listen to, compose, and perform music on a regular basis. I have a passion for sharing my love of music with people of all ages!
On Outschool, I am looking to teach music classes related to learning an instrument, learning how to read music, learning the basics of music theory, and exploring the evolution of classical music since antiquity!
I strongly believe that the teaching-learning process should be a collaborative one between teacher and student. As a teacher, I see myself as a guide to help a student navigate their own learning journey. Using a variety of teaching philosophies and instructional strategies/materials is just one way I serve as a facilitator for students' learning. I very much seek to incorporate students' interests and questions into the teaching-learning process. I can't wait to get started teaching you!
Other hobbies include reading, swimming, running, photography, and rooting for Philadelphia sports teams (Eagles, Phillies, Sixers, and Flyers)!!
