Description
Class Experience
1. Students will learn facts about the physical characteristics of the Red Panda such as size, features, diet and habitat. 2. Students will learn how scientists use these characteristics to compare and classify a species like Red Pandas. 3. Students will learn why conservation of the Red Panda is important and what is being done to prevent the extinction of this species. 4. Students will also learn new vocabulary words related to the study of Red Pandas.
No homework, but your child may be interested in learning more about red pandas or making additional drawings or extended artwork related to animal science and conservation.
1 file available upon enrollmentLearner Supply List: 1. Drawing Paper (notebook, sketchpad or loose paper is fine) 2. Art media such as Crayons, Pencils or Markers 3. Print Pack: (attached to the welcome message in the classroom and visible if you are logged in as the LEARNER) Contains two drawing templates to assist the Learner. Note: A certificate and Red Panda fact sheet will be sent as a separate download available after class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
There is NO formal assessment for this class. Students will be learning concepts of animal science along with the opportunity to further develop their math, geography, vocabulary, and creative thinking skills while learning about the Red Panda.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
