Description
Class Experience
The student will learn the terms and definitions of the four classic Greek temperaments, the student's own temperament tendencies, the specific combination of temperament factors that define the student's uniqueness, and how those temperament qualities are expressed through personality.
No high-risk or inappropriate material will be presented or discussed in this course. However, the discovery of the student's temperament will be introspective and revealing. The student may feel a little uncomfortable with it at first but will understand it's importance by the end of the course. The student is encouraged to share in discussions regarding the course content but is not required to divulge personal information to participate in the course. Timothy Burt taught cognitive education classes in adult correctional facilities for 8 1/2 years. The study of temperament and personality helped the students to see life through a different lens, which opened new options for success. Please see the course video introduction to better understand the concept of the class.
An assignment will be given between each session, following up on what was discussed in class that week.
An overview of the course and a brief one-page questionnaire will be sent prior to the first session for use in introductions and discussion.
Learner progress is based upon completion of assignments and participation in class discussions.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parents and other influential adults will play a vital role in the student's completion of this course. The student will choose several adults to complete a survey between sessions 1 and 2. The composite results of these surveys will be tallied for use in session 2.
