Class Experience

Art is expression, and many LGBTQ+ kids need to find that special, safe place where they can relax, open up, chat, and be creative without judgement. This ongoing club is intended to be that gentle space (supportive allies welcome too).

Weekly fun craft projects will change from week to week, depending on what the group wants to do. Crafts may include jewelry, crochet, basketry, sewing, embroidery, painting, calligraphy, paper crafts, nature crafts, and many more! If learners don't want to do that week's craft, they are more than welcome to bring their own creative project and share it with others in the clubhouse.

Here are some examples of craft projects in the coming weeks (please read the supply list section below!):
- Week of Sept. 11: Beginning Cross Stitch
- Week of Sept. 18: Paint Your Dreams
- Week of Sept. 25: Draw a Comic Book Page

The time is intentionally unstructured so that it's a fun, safe, supportive place to find kindred creative spirits. Inclusion, acceptance, and support for all LGBTQ+ and gender expressions are the top priority in this ongoing class!
