This course has been successful for 2 decades in different formats. Lesson one: 1. We take on a real-life experience (an actual activity) to demonstrate human behavior and set a baseline. 2. We walk through examples of what we do as humans to lie, cheat and steal. 3. We will cover the brain-based scientific 'why' we do what we do and make it personal to class. 4. We will converse about the hard road of standing for what we believe and what telling the truth can do for us. 5. Observational homework for implementation Lesson two 1. Together, but individually, we will a list of the challenging circles in our lives where we pass/fail. 2. We will talk about our home, school & peers that influence our decisions 3. We will discuss a model that helps us make our decisions in line with what we value. 4. We will cover the application of topics to practice as a student in life, with adults anytime, at home, or at school. 5. We will examine the importance of "showing not telling" and modeling a good example when practicing.

Parental Guidance
Hi Parents.
As you appreciate, this is a VERY broad and sensitive topic for students & parents. I am going to cover the deep and broad topics of integrity, lying, cheating, and the power of good values... welcoming student discussion and talk about all consequences (depending on the flow of the class). Of course, we will not debate intricate moralistic philosophies like a college class but rather talk about realities if you don't 'do the right thing' as a student.
I am a parent, teacher, and human so will only take your kids to the 'water fountain'... I can not make them drink the water of truthfulness, honesty, or trust. I want to be upfront so our expectations are aligned... unfortunately some parents have been brutal (post-class) in hope that I could transform their child in 2 hours into a saint but as you would understand, I am not the parent - just the teacher. Please message me if this does not meet your expectations and I will provide a refund.
