This class is meant to help kids learn the science and benefits of gratitude, but mostly think about things they are grateful for. Gratitude can help with anxiety, anger, sadness, and whenever we are having a hard time. I will start the class explaining what gratitude is, then I will explain the science and benefits of gratitude. We will then do a gratitude meditation together, along with a gratitude activity where we make a list or draw pictures of things we are grateful for while I play a song about gratitude. I will end with teaching the learners 5 simple ways to add more gratitude into their life. The course encourages interaction between the students and the teacher, including sharing the things we are grateful for. My slides use visual based learning techniques to help the kids remember what we are learning. I encourage students to practice thinking of things they are grateful for outside of their class and teach their families what they learned. At the end of the class, I will give the learners the tips to add gratitude into their lives along with a letter for the learners and their families about gratitude.
