Come learn creative writing skills with an author in a once a week (ongoing) writing club where students will try to write a short story each week, learning the skills to writing a great story.

Any students who prefer to not share their story during class have the opportunity to message me their writing assignment from class and have feedback given.Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 6
In each weekly class, we will talk about the subject being taught (see topics below), how students can express themselves through a story, and then write a short story. Learning Goal: We will learn what it takes to write a story and how a story can come alive through even just one character. Class Structure: We will use the first ten minutes to learn how to write a great story. We then use the next 20 minutes writing a story and then reading it. We can brainstorm and come up with amazing stories together. Students will interact with other students by sharing their stories and getting ideas from each other. No experience is necessary, other than imagination.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to be creative in their writing skills and proud of their work. We will look at what it takes to write a short story and then the students will write one and can read it in class or I can read it for them.

Paper and a pencil or pen.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
