Class Experience
People love to be terrified and are even willing to spend good money to do so. A roller can provide us with a thrilling experince. But did you know that roller coasters are not powered by engines or any other mechanical or electrical power? Did you know it's not really the safety belts or bars that keep you safely in your seat? In this class we will take an extensive look at roller coasters. Do you know where the first roller coasters began? What is the tallest or fastest roller coaster? We...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn about forces in nature and how they affect our lives. They will then apply this knowledge to help explain how roller coasters work.
High school science certification. Taught 7th and/or 8th grade science for 6 years. Level 5 teacher in both grade levels.
No homework is required. However parents will be provided with some downloadable resourses to expand and review the lesson.
Students will not need any resources to complete class.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Informal assessment. Parents will be provided a test to use at their discretion.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
