Class experience
US Grade Preschool - 1
Students will learn proven reading comprehension strategies in this club as we read fun stories together on a 1st-2nd grade level about Pete the Cat and his friends. Students will improve their beginning reading comprehension skills in areas of focus: -Story Elements (Characters, Setting, Plot-Problem/Solution) -WH Questions -Summarizing and Retelling a Story -Making Inferences and Predictions
All activities and graphic organizers will be available for printing out in the classroom section before class. I will display ALL activities as we work together, so students can still participate without the printouts. Other materials: -Pencils -Paper -Whiteboard -Dry Erase Markers -Scissors (Parental Guidance is required for the use of scissors) -Glue
