How Outschool Works
Don't see a time that works for you?
This wonderful story focuses on four fun and hilarious sisters and their widowed father who live on Gardam Street in Massachusetts. This is book two in the Penderwick series but it is NOT necessary to read book one before class. I will introduce the characters and a few happenings in our first class together. In this book a new neighbor has moved in next door to the Penderwick family with her young son. As the story is told we will find out if the girls become friends with their neighbors...
Students will become more independent readers.
I have been an educator here at Outschool for over two years. I teach One On One reading and have taught and read several novels with my students. I have also taught Language Arts and Literature for many years.
Students will be expected to read at least 3-4 chapters outside of class. They also will be expected to have one question written to ask their peers during each class.
The Book Listed Above may be found at the library and Thriftbooks.com or Amazon
1 hour per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
The girl's mother has already passed 4 years earlier when the first book starts. In this book, the girl's father is expected to go on dates. These stories are written with careful thought to young children's minds. I read them to my daughter when she was very young and I am always mindful of their content.
