In this Ongoing course, the learners will experience role-playing adventures in the world of Tolkien's world for the Lord of the Rings, Middle-Earth, much like the Fellowship, or a certain famous hobbit.
Class experience
Some twenty years ago, Bilbo Baggins returned home from his adventure with the Dwarves. The dragon Smaug is dead, the Mountain reconquered by the folk of Durin. The orcs and goblins were defeated, too. Peace ensued. But the Shadow is not gone. It grows again. And Middle Earth is in need of heroes to protect the lands! The One Ring 2nd Ed has just become available. This is your opportunity to join a Fellowship to do your part in the struggle against Sauron and the forces of darkness. But...
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
Foundry is virtual tabletop software. Learners use the link provided to access the virtual tabletop, which has their character sheets, the maps, and other gaming material, like diceroller etc. Learners do not need to set up an account to do so, nor do they need to provide Foundry with any information about themselves. The instructor controls who can access the virtual tabletop. The virtual tabletop can only be accessed when the instructor so allows.
