In this seven week novel study, we will take a close look at the book, The One and Only Ivan. We will study the themes of the novel, the vocabulary, and the writing style. Different literary devices will be discussed. Each character in the book will be examined and we will create character flow charts for our favorites. 50 pages will be assigned each week for students to read. Homework pages will be uploaded to the classroom each week that will go along with the assigned pages. All homework...

Homework will be a combination of worksheets and short writing activities.
