In this live excursion, we'll be walking around the beautiful streets of Edinburgh! We'll be learning about Edinburgh's history, from the ancient people to the Jacobite uprisings!

Beginner Level
Join me for a dynamic, one-time online excursion through the heart of Edinburgh, where history comes alive! In this interactive class, I will livestream from some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including Edinburgh Castle, the Royal Mile, The Old Town closes, and Greyfriars Kirkyard. Students will learn about key historical figures like Mary, Queen of Scots, and how the inspired locations in the Harry Potter series. We’ll also explore the folktales and traditions that makes Edinburgh unique. The class is structured as a live, virtual walking tour, combining engaging storytelling with frequent comprehension checks. I’ll ask around 20 interactive questions during the session, guiding students to answers with clues embedded in the stories I tell. This immersive approach keeps learners active and involved throughout the class. My teaching style is energetic and easy going, aiming to make history fun and relatable. Students will have plenty of opportunities to interact through discussions, live questions, and on-the-spot quizzes. Whether answering questions or asking their own, learners will be encouraged to dive deeper into Edinburgh’s history.

Parental Guidance
As this tour will be live streamed, I could be approached by onlookers and I can't predict their actions. I will also be mentioning historical figures that have been executed, but I will keep those details to a minimum.
