Class Experience
In this one-time class, your student will listen to a fun story celebrating the 4th of July and hear how people all across the United States are getting ready for hot dogs, fireworks, parades and so much more! It is a special summer holiday that brings out the excitement, fun and pride to all Americans. This class is taught in English.
The student will make predictions. *The student will practice good listening skills. *The student will engage in conversation. *The student will engage in an art project.
I am an experienced elementary reading teacher and have a great love for children’s literature and being able to incorporate books into all subject areas. I want my students to be excited about reading/writing and I feel that my passion comes thru in each story I tell!
1 file available upon enrollment*graham crackers *white frosting *plastic knife *red/white/blue sprinkles *print out of 4th of July hat (color and put together to wear in class) *baking dish or pie pan *star cookie cutters (optional) *red and blue food coloring *liquid dish soap *milk *paper towel or napkin *paper plate
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parental guidance will be needed to help with the science experiment and the treat afterwards. :)
