The Newbery Medal has been awarded to American authors for their great contribution to children's literature. The award has been given since 1922! We are reading every book that has won the Newbery medal, starting with the 2023 winner and working our way back in time to 1922! Students travel backward through the decades, experiencing different times, meeting characters, discovering settings, connecting with cultures, and identifying with literary characters.
