The Never Girls Book and Craft Club(Books 5 & 6)
Class experience
In this interactive class we will be reading book 5 and 6 of The Never Girls series by Kiki Thorpe. Each class will follow the same basic pattern. We will read, discuss, and then work on crafts together. Students will be given the opportunity to read aloud but are not required to. Through the discussions I will teach summarizing, questioning, and inferring. After the discussion we will work on a craft related to the book. The crafts are small weaved blanket and a fairy hat. Students will enjoy reading and have fun making fairy crafts together. They will also improve their reading fluency and comprehension.
The Never Girls: Wedding Wing, Book 5 ($5.99) The Never Girls: The Woods Beyond, Book 6 ($5.99) Supplies needed are: a ruler, scissors, yarn (as many colors as you would like to use in your crafts), tape, 1 popsicle sticks, 2 pieces of cardboard that are roughly 6 inches by 8 inches (cardboard from a cereal box or cracker box is fine) and an empty toilet paper roll or empty paper towel roll.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
