In this book club we will read and discuss books 3 and 4 of The Never Girls series and make fairy furniture and accessories for an indoor or outdoor fairy garden.
Class experience
In this interactive class we will be reading books 3 and 4 of The Never Girls series by Kiki Thorpe. Each class will follow the same basic pattern. We will read a chapter, discuss, and then work on crafts together. Students will be given the opportunity to read aloud but are not required to. Through the discussions I will teach summarizing, questioning, and inferring. After the discussion we will work on a craft related to the book. The Never Girls by Kiki Thorpe Amazon Dandelion Wish (Book 3) $5.99 From the Mist (Book 4) $5.99 Volume 2: Books 4-6 $15.97 Books 1-4 set $17.68 Supplies needed: popsicle sticks, popsicle sticks cut in half, twine or string, 5 rubber bands, a plastic spoon or a small lid(from a Tabasco container, soy sauce, etc...) and Elmer's Carpenter's Wood Glue or your child can use a hot glue gun if you feel comfortable with that. Before class an adult will need to cut some of the popsicles in half. Needle nose pliers with a wire cutter work well to cut popsicle sticks. If you don't want to cut them, half length popsicle sticks are sold in stores.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
