After an advertisement searching for "gifted children looking for special opportunities" is put out in the newspaper, many children (including the readers) come to take the series of tests. Only four succeed and the Mysterious Benedict Society is formed. The students will need to purchase or borrow a copy of Trenton Lee Stewart's "The Mysterious Benedict Society" either in hard copy or ebook form. A binder in which to store all of the written work would be helpful, but not required. All worksheets and materials will be provided by the teacher.
