Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, Hi, Aloha, Annyeonghaseyo, Salaam, Hey there!
My name is Victoria, but my students call me Vickie. I am from the UK and was born in a small town in Shropshire (I know it sounds like the home of Froddo Baggins!), however it was actually where Charles Darwin was born! I am currently a secondary school teacher in the UK specialising and teaching students with autism, aspergers and ADHD within the SEN sector. I teach English literature and language, and I love Victorian Gothic. In History I specialise in the Tudor era and the English reformation. I also have a passion for teaching about our wildlife and nature!
I am a great believer in learning not only being educational but also fun! I encourage a collaborative learning environment and challenge students to reach their fullest potential!
Some fun facts about me- at 15 I represented my county in hockey and played in Jamaica and I was on TV over there! I am the proud pet parent of a labrador called Ruby, two British short hair cats called Ronnie and Lola, a crested gecko called Echo, a preying mantis called Manny, 3 Madagascan Hissing cockroaches called Pappy, Amelia and Rolo and a Chameleon called Cam!! Next on the list is a Rainbow Boa snake!
In my spare time I love spending time with my two children and having days out exploring the wonderful forests that surround us.
My teaching style is enthusiastic and interactive. I love to engage my students and get them excited about learning!
I am so excited to have your young learner and explorer join me!
