Description

Class Experience

I am an avid WWII Historian with 10+ years of living history experience. Additionally, I have 7 years experience of teaching all levels of high school history to include World History, World Geography, and US History.

I am also a 3rd generation Japanese-American. My maternal grandparents were Japanese immigrants to Hawaii before the start of WWII.
45 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students will taught about the Japanese interment camps and how Japanese Americans were taken from their places of work, home, etc. This help explains the why of the 442nd forming. Many wanted to prove their loyalty to America.
