Modernism is a literary, artistic, and philosophical movement of the 20th century exploring the limits of humanity and traditional forms.  This course will explore the origins and results of this movement that developed in reaction to the changing century and World War 1.  In class, we will explore the origins and concerns of this movement by looking at primary documents.  Each week we will explore the art, music, and literature of Modernism to...

Students will understand the context and major ideas of the modernist movement, as well as building their own skills in textual analysis.

I have a master's degree from the University of Cambridge and 15 years of teaching experience in world history, literature, and philosophy.

Optional writing assignments will be provided weekly.

Assessment can be provided in any format a parent chooses.

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
