Classical Ballet underpins dance in all genres, helping to establish posture, flexibility, confidence and performance. This class will be fun and engaging yet will instil quality dance technique from a qualified Ballet and Modern Theatre Teacher, Miss Grace DDE, Principal of the Mini Dance Studio. Each week, lessons will consist of steps - supporting the development dance needs of your children, sequences and Classical Ballet terminology from The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance, a globally recognised Dance Organisation. Miss Grace’s style of teaching is to keep children engaged and allow them to become passionate about the World of Classical Ballet whilst building confidence and self-esteem. Classes will be structured as follows: 1) Welcome and introduction 2) Ballet Barre warm -up: To promote safe dance practice. (chair can be used as a barre) 3) Ballet exercises to develop dance technique including Adage and Allegro exercises 4) Ballet cool-down: To relax dancers’ muscles. 5) Traditional Ballet farewell (reverence) and good-bye to our dance friends. Feedback will be used during the lesson to enable the dancers to progress. Dancers will need a safe and clear space to dance along with a drink. I ask kindly that parents do not dance with their children for the class and age group, supervision if you feel is needed. Thank you. Miss Grace is very excited about the opportunity to teach aspiring young dancers across the world and looks forward to welcoming you to her Classical Ballet 7- 11 years classes. Outside of the Outschool World, Miss Grace is busy teaching various genres of dance in well-established dance schools, as well as preparing and entering dancers for Ballet and Modern Theatre ISTD examinations. *Please see other lessons offered by Miss Grace and follow her as she releases new classes.

Parental Guidance
Parents/guardians will need to open up the workout space (making sure the space is as hazard free as possible). Your child is to be wearing appropriate activewear and footwear during this lesson (soft ballet shoes, bare feet or socks with grips on the sole).
Your dancer is free to have a drink whenever they need it, please ensure a drink is sorted before lesson.
This class requires no stretching beforehand, as the class begins with Barre work. Can I ask that your camera is set up so that I am able to see the dancer from shoulders to feet - This is for safe dance practice and for corrections to be made.
To prevent distractions and/or injuries occurring, if you feel in necessary for your child (younger dancers), I ask that your child is properly supervised at all times.
Thank you for your understanding of this guidance.

I have gained professional development at prestigious dance schools, such as Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance and ISTD extended teacher training.
